Justin James was born in the wintry month of January on the 16th day. Who would have thought that such a talent would come from Cape Cod, Massachusetts? Proving that talent knows no zip code, he found himself singing at the age of six. He quickly gravitated to popular, self-made artists like Keith Sweat and icons like Michael Jackson and R. Kelly. “These were singers that my father would play around the house when I was growing up,” says James.

His independent debut single “Tell Me You Love Me” hit U.S. radio with over 62 stations and his video has been placed on popular hip-hop outlets such as ThisIs50.com and VladTV.com. He launched his Youtube channel and placed his video “Running Back” on Worldstarhiphop.com. The video garnered over 100k views in 24 hours. James came back to radio with the “Higher”, another song from his EP “Now or Never”. This found him sharing stages with the likes of Fetty Wap and Rick Ross.

Buzzing off the EP, James assembled a new project which he later titled “MIXTour of eMOTIONs”. DJ Royce, (Now or Never EP “Intro [feat KRS One], took over as his DJ and the project’s A&R. Starting off with a remix to “Higher”, the project takes you on a musical journey through Hip Hop, Soul, R&B, Folk, Pop and Dance. “It’s a tour through a mixture of genres and emotions of love for hip hop, and traditional love”. It is his first project with collaborations from around the globe. It truly is a Mix Tour in so many ways. With its project slogan, “It’s not a mixtape, it’s not an album, it’s a MIXTOUR OF EMOTIONS” Justin James graduates from “Now or Never” with flying colors.

With two project’s under his belt, he regrouped with his team and began to map out new material. Based on feedback from several influential DJ’s, James discovered that he had what they considered no club records. So DJ Royce set out to find a couple records that would retain his soulful hip-hop sound, while giving DJ’s something they could put in the mix.

Whether with a full band, or just with his DJ, Justin James show is full of energy, interactive, visual and worth the ticket. The Justin James brand is Timeless. From music to merchandise, music video to his web series [THE GRIND], Justin James has a great career in front of him.
